🍲 ONE-POT MEALS: EASY, DELICIOUS & PERFECT FOR BUSY DAYS
There’s nothing better than a one-pot meal when you want something tasty, filling and easy — especially when the weather is a little cooler! 🍂
This week at BeeWeighed, we’re sharing our favourite one-pot meal ideas and showing just how simple it can be to create a delicious, calorie-controlled meal with minimal fuss and washing up.
🐝 Why we LOVE one-pot meals
One-pot cooking is perfect when life is busy because you can simply throw your ingredients into one pan, let everything cook together and voilà — dinner is ready!
They’re also fantastic for weight loss because you can:
✔️ Weigh and track your ingredients
✔️ Calculate the calories for the whole pot
✔️ Divide the total calories by the number of portions
✔️ Make several meals at once
✔️ Freeze individual portions for another day
✔️ Pack them up for lunch
✔️ Add plenty of vegetables and protein to keep you satisfied
For example, if your whole pot comes to 1,800 calories and you divide it into six portions, that’s just 300 calories per portion.
That makes tracking so much easier!

Sausage & Bean One-Pot
Choose lower-calorie sausages, then add tomatoes, onions, peppers, beans and herbs for a hearty meal that goes a long way.
🧮 The clever bit — CALCULATE THE WHOLE POT!
One of the biggest advantages of batch cooking is that you don’t have to work out every portion individually.
Simply add up the calories of everything that goes into your pot.
For example:
Chicken – 600 calories
Vegetables – 250 calories
Rice – 600 calories
Stock & seasoning – 50 calories
Total = 1,500 calories
If you make 5 portions, that’s:
⭐ 300 CALORIES PER PORTION ⭐
And you’ve got five ready-to-go meals!
Just remember that if you change the quantities or ingredients, your calories will change too — so weigh and track what you actually use.
🐝 Make it work for YOU
The beauty of one-pot meals is that you can adapt them to your own tastes and calorie allowance.
Want more protein? Add chicken, fish or lean meat.
Want more volume? Add extra vegetables.
Want more carbs? Add a measured portion of rice, pasta or potatoes.
Want to keep the calories lower? Reduce higher-calorie ingredients and bulk the meal out with vegetables.
Simple food doesn’t have to be boring, and healthy eating doesn’t have to mean spending hours in the kitchen.
This week, let’s swap recipes, share ideas and inspire each other with our favourite BeeWeighed one-pot creations! 🐝🍲
