This week we had Monday and Sunday virtual meetings, three members had express weigh ins, 3 members had one to one remote weigh ins, we had a weigh and go in Levenshulme and BEEWEIGHED Denton reopened its doors!

We all agreed it’s been a tough few months but we’re all ready to get back on track one hundred percent and start shifting our unwanted lbs. mine included!

We discussed having WILLPOWER when dieting and also tackling saboteurs.

Willpower is a muscle, the more you use it the stronger it gets!!

Some ideas:-

  • Cook once a week and freeze meals so you’ve always got something prepared
  • Keep healthy snacks on you at all times
  • Keep junk food out of reach/sight, or better still don’t buy it!
  • Cut up your food, savour every single mouthful which helps you feel more satisfied after each meal
  • Have a breakfast – something substantial that will keep you satisfied until lunchtime
  • Avoid danger aisles in the supermarkets and don’t fall trap for the BOGOF offers!
  • Eat before you go shopping
  • Remember your WHY – what made you want to lose weight, remember how you felt before taking the BEEWEIGHED journey.

Takling Saboteurs

As if dieting isn’t hard enough without having to deal with saboteurs.  They can make you feel deflated. Sadly many diet saboteurs are the people closest to us, like our friends, family and colleagues.  Confronting them may be able to turn them into supporters instead:-

  • One wont hurt – If you have one! But often one can lead to coming off plan!
  • You don’t need to lose anymore – You know your target and remember WHY you started to lose weight and what your ultimate target was.  Explain this to your friends and ask for their support until you reach it.
  • Have one day off! – Having a day off can lead to more than a day and it is harder to get back on track!  Again explain this and how important it is to lose weight.
  • Chocolates/Cakes in the office – Always have a low calorie snack so you can have your alternative instead without indulging in the office treats.
  • Say no and mean it – be proud you have said no, give yourself a pat on the back because you actually said no and meant it.
  • If your saboteur is persistent – accept and then when they are not around throw it away – you will feel so much better in doing so!

Exciting news – Levenshulme meeting is moving to Longsight Cricket Club, M12 5GZ 6.30pm on Thursday 9th July 2020.

Have a fab week! – Next week we are going to be discussing mindfulness.
